An Update on Modern NMR Logging, New Applications in Shale
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Logging has made major strides since the first commercial pulsed-echo NMR log was recorded in June of 1991. This talk reviews the progress that has been made since then, with the evolution of NMR applications from a simple porosity measurement to the complex fluid identification methods used today. Current NMR logging tools are reviewed including the newest tools. Examples of successful NMR tool application will be shown, including identification of bypassed pay and new applications in shale.
The talk will be followed by
a half day course on:
“Case Studies of Recognizing Bypassed and Unconventional Pay
From Wireline Logs, Quality Control of Processed Logs" by Mr. Brian Stambaugh.

The need for reservations cannot be stressed enough as an accurate headcount for lunch is extremely important.
